As was reported in the last hanger update some damage was discovered in the Rolls Royce Falcon engine fitted to the Bristol Fighter. Thankfully the scoring of the cylinder bore was limited to the chromed surface coating and not the liner parent material.

With information kindly supplied by Vintage Engine Technology, at Gransden, we have found a company in the UK to repair the cylinders and re-hone them back to there nominal bore size. We hope to achieve this in the next 6-8 weeks as time allows, so that we can see two Bristol fighters in the air once again at Flying Legends 2001.
